WARNING: DON’T GET SCAMMED!If you are on the phone with someone you don’t know and trust, and they have asked you to install any kind of remote support tool (such as RustDesk, Teamviewer, VNC, Google Chrome Remote Desktop, UltraViewer, LogMeIn, AnyDesk, etc…) DO NOT install it and hang up immediately. While browsing the web, if you get a popup window on your screen telling you your computer is infected and asking you to call a toll-free number for help or support – even if they claim to be with Microsoft or “Windows Support” – DO NOT call them! They are likely a scammer trying to steal your money or personal information! If you think you are being scammed, feel free to call us and ask. |
